Sponsorships and donations

In 2018, HawaiiUSA donated $331,000 to our local communities including 21 scholarships to students continuing their education and 94 stipends to State of Hawaii educators looking to further their careers. As a not-for-profit cooperative, our focus is giving back to the communities we serve. And with our roots as a educators-based credit union right here in Hawaii more than 80 years ago, giving back to Hawaii’s youth, families, education professionals, as well as promoting community sustainability is just a part of who we are.

Employee volunteer hours

HawaiiUSA employees volunteered over 3,175 hours volunteering in our various communities in 2018. Sharing our time and energy to better the lives of our members and the communities we serve is a commitment we hold up high. Community thrives when it’s supported by motivated people and organizations, and we’re proud to call Hawaii our home.

HawaiiUSA FCU Foundation

The HawaiiUSA FCU Foundation was established to manage and execute the charitable giving activities of HawaiiUSA Federal Credit Union, while strengthening the communities where we work and live. Grants from the Foundation go directly to public charities in Hawaii recognized as 501(c)(3)s by the Internal Revenue Service. Contributions go to support public charities that perform community services that directly impact and support the children of Hawaii, as well as focusing on improving the lives of the less fortunate.

If your 501(c)(3) Hawaii charity is interested in requesting support from the HawaiiUSA FCU Foundation, please read through our grant request procedure.
